The Inca civilisation was successful because it did not conquer but maintain and integrate other cultures it came across. It was the greatest empire of human history.

However, with the arrival of the Spanish in the 16th century, the Inca empire was destroyed, mainly because of the sickness and diseases the Spanish brought with them.

Quechua was the dialect of the Incas and is still spoken by indigenous people across Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia and Argentina today.
