When I travel, I like to spend several months or more in the environment I’m in. And that doesn’t necessarily mean reading or talking to people as such to learn more. Sometimes it’s the energy of the land that has an effect on my sense of self. These sensations that land can evoke can be so subtle. But when I pay real close attention to how my body is feeling in that moment in the presence of the land, that’s when I know the land is speaking to me.
